Sliema is the busiest launch point for Comino, with the widest choice of cruises. One thing to know first: Sliema itself has no Blue Lagoon — it's where the boat leaves from.

If you're staying in Sliema, St Julian's or Valletta, Sliema's Ferries terminal is your most convenient starting point for the Blue Lagoon. Boats leave from the seafront and head north to Comino, usually taking in Gozo or the sea caves on a full-day loop.
The signature Sliema day out: a big catamaran or cruise boat to Comino's Blue Lagoon with a stop in Gozo or at the Comino sea caves and Crystal Lagoon. Best value if you want to see more than one island.
Cruise to Comino, then a guided bus tour of Gozo's highlights — a good way to combine the swim with sightseeing in a single ticket.
Prefer maximum beach time? A round-trip ferry lets you set your own return. See how to get there for the fastest crossings via Ċirkewwa.
Take an early departure. Boats leaving by 9:00 reach the lagoon before the worst of the crowds and heat. In peak summer the water is busiest 10:00–15:00. Shoulder months are far calmer.
